Being raised in Birmingham, she saw a vision of a better, more beautiful magic city that could be filled with thriving communities and families. This vision later turned into her passion and pursuit in real estate.
My name is Lakita Barron, born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I made my move to the south after high school with the dream of attending an HBCU. The Alabama State University was the one for me. After school I relocated to Birmingham. When approached to be the Admin of a brand new brokerage, minority owned and operated but still diverse, I was elated with the idea!! Last summer we initiated a donation drive with LeaderOne Alabama and Classic Home Mortgage for The Lovelady Center in Birmingham. The living center houses over 200 women and 40 children that have experienced or are experiencing traumatic life issues. It was our pleasure to provide over 1,000 items to the women and children there.
We were contacted by the Todd Homes Community Center to make Christmas 2021 bike wishes come true for the children living in the community. Our team of 11agents (at that time) was thrilled to help provide brand-new bikes for the children.
ICPR sponsored an in-house school supply drive by asking each Agent to donate funds. Efforts raised over $450.00 to purchase school supplies for the children of the Todd Homes Community!
